Glow is described as an indoor Christmas Festival and Market. The highlight is certainly the lights as you are invited to make your way around the world in this warehouse / barn turned Christmas light extravaganza.
There is plenty to keep the kids entertained with a miniature train, miniature golf and light up hopscotch.
For the adults, there is a craft and Christmas market, music and a bar! For Bert's, we had a nice little room at the back where we could visit in a little escape from the crowds. And hey, I am a food blogger and there were food trucks to provide various sustenance options so I have to tell you about that!
We had a nice little Margarita pizza from Urban Wood Fired Pizza. They actually have 2 wood burning ovens on this cart. I imagine that the cart must be incredibly heavy with all that on board.
A purist might have a bit of a problem with calling this a Margherita but the basic elements were there, cherry tomatoes, a basil paste and of course, mozzarella. The crust was thin and tasty and benefited from the heat of the wood fired oven. Nice!
We've patronized Reel Mac and Cheese in the past so we knew that it would be pretty good.
I can' remember what clever name was applied to the Pulled Pork and Bacon Mac and Cheese ( all their dishes have move related names - Reel Mac and Cheese ...get it?) but it was very good. On a previous visit I wasn't overly thrilled with the mac and cheese itself as I hoped for it to be cheesier. This time with the pulled pork it all worked together well. Not a bad choice as good trucks go,
And some mini donuts for desert!
Thanks Berts!
